We will have teams in the following age groups:
Boys grades 5-6
Boys grades 7-8
Boys grades 9-11**
Girls grades 7-10
Girls grades 11-12
Grade is based on the current grade your child is in now, not what grade they are going into. Let us know if your child is off a grade year and depending on experience, we may be able to help them out.
** Boys team for grades 9-11 will be a clinic and we will play intramural scrimmage games as that age group plays in the ULAX league out of Buffalo on Sundays. I will try to schedule some scrimmage games for the boys.
Click the link below if you have any questions. This program is for beginner players and experienced players. Early bird registration now through 4/15.
Our organization has grown over the past few years and we can use some volunteer coaches if interested. Our coaches are mentors and bring a mixture of passion and guidance to the sport of lacrosse, we are patient and fun but stern when we need to be. We do not scream and yell at players or officials and we give all players equal playing time as this is a learning and developmental association. All new coaches are subject to a background check. If you are interested and would like more information, please email us below.

Ever since the Lockport Lacrosse Association was founded by Guy Bax in 2021, my son, Gavin, has been a part of it. He has participated in almost every clinic and season they offered.
Founder and President, Guy Bax and his son, Savino, have been the biggest mentors in our son’s lacrosse journey. Gavin looks up to Savino like a big brother and he even has a picture of the two of them in his locker at school. Gavin credits a large portion of his lacrosse success to Guy and Savino, for always pushing him as hard as possible, to make him the best player he can be. If you go on the Lockport Lacrosse Association’s website, you see exactly what their philosophy and goals are. They strive to instill good values, morals and sportsmanship in their athletes, both on and off the field. All of the coaches that are part of this association, do exactly that. They all volunteer time out of their busy lives, to help out all of the children that take part in the program. I cannot say enough great things about what Coach Bax and his son Savino have done for my son Gavin. Gavin told me, “the Lockport Lacrosse Association was the foundation to my lacrosse journey". Gavin has since went on to play in the Junior Bandits program and just recently joined the Performax Prep Elite team. He continued to tell me that “if it wasn’t for Coach Bax and his son Savino, I would not be the player that I am today. They are always willing to go the extra mile, to work with me, to make me better in every part of my lacrosse game. Even if it means staying late after practice to perfect some new skills." Gavin continued on saying “it doesn’t stop with just Coach Bax or Savino." He also credited Coach Brouillete, aka the Lockport String Doctor for always being available to help him customize a new head, or string the perfect pocket for him to score goals with. Gavin went on to tell me that there isn’t a coach in the association that didn’t make an impact on him. Coach Graziano, Stickney and Garlock all go above and beyond to work with me and the rest of the players to help us improve our lacrosse game every single time we step on the field. Just this weekend, Gavin had a tournament in Ellicottville, playing for Performax Prep. Lockport Lacrosse Association also had put together a JV team for this tournament. Coach Bax and Savino, Coach Graziano and Garlock were all on the sidelines cheering on Gavin. After the game, Gavin was all smiles to see them. He told us how much it meant to him to have them all there and that they got to see him score a goal. This is just one of many examples of how the Lockport Lacrosse Association has made an impact in Gavin’s life. Who knows where Gavin would be without this program and its amazing coaches. It is programs like this, that have been an integral part of helping sport of lacrosse grow across our area.
"This program wouldn't exist without you. Thank you just isn't enough for all you do for the lax boys. You've fostered their love of the sport but you have taught them how to be good men. You have no idea how much of an impact you truly are making! We appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for running this program, even now that you

Lockport Lacrosse Association was founded in 2021 to provide an opportunity for players to be introduced to the game of Lacrosse and help develop players at all levels in a fun and friendly environment.
Winning is not always the only thing. We will promote good sportsmanship on and off the field. Our goal is to build players that will play together not only as teammates, but as friends.
Our coaches and staff are all volunteers as we are a non profit organization. Made up of local coaches and parents to make clinics and practices fun and exciting in a no pressure environment.
I am just a Dad with no lacrosse experience but has a son who LOVES the game. I founded the Lockport Lacrosse Association back in 2021 as I recognized the need for our youth to be able to play year round to develop our players to be competitive at the high school level. My goal was to start a grass roots campaign to help grow the sport and help kids get to that next level. My background is in ice hockey playing through college. I then became a referee where I worked my way from youth to D3 and D1 college. I am a former volunteer for USA Hockey on the training staff of officials where I served as a supervisor of officials for NY State Amateur Hockey. I trained and supervised officials and am proud to say that many of the officials I have worked with are now working at the collegiate level, Semi pro level, AHL, NHL, IIHF, and the Olympics. I am also a US Navy Veteran spending 8 years in the Reserves and was proudly called up to active duty after 9/11. When I am not driving to watch my son play D3 Lacrosse at Alfred University or chasing him playing Jr. B box lacrosse, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 19 years, watching anime (One Piece) and going to comic book stores with my younger son, smoking a fine cigar, and snuggling my two chihuahuas and American Pit Bull Terrier. If your child has the drive, we can work with them on the field to get them to that next level.
My name is Christopher Graziano and I am a physical education teacher at Roy B. Kelley Elementary School right here in Lockport. This is my sixth year there and I am going into my eighth season as a lacrosse coach within the Lockport City School District. I am a Lockport graduate myself and I played five seasons of lacrosse from 2008 until 2012 when I graduated. I attended SUNY Brockport and earned a Bachelor’s degree in physical education there, as well as a Master’s degree in health education. I started coaching modified girls lacrosse for one season and then moved on to boy’s junior varsity where I coached that for four seasons. I am now currently going into my third season as the head coach of the Varsity boy’s lacrosse team here in Lockport. Working with our youth is my passion and I truly love and value being able to work with such a wide range of student athletes within our community. During my free time I love to get outside as much as I can. Fishing and kayaking are my main two hobbies, but I also love to get out and play a round of golf or disc golf. Go Bills and go Bandits!
My name is Tyler Stickney, I started playing organized lacrosse in 2010 at Lockport high school starting as a close defender and moving to an LSM role For the JV team. I was moved up to varsity at the end of my sophomore year and played as both a Long stick and short stick midfielder earning a spot as a team captain my senior year. Upon graduation I joined the US Navy serving as an Electronics Technician from 2014-2022, During my time in I earned qualifications as a Visit Board Search and Seizure Team Member as well as a Surface Search and Rescue Swimmer. When I returned to Lockport at the end of my active duty time I reached out to Guy Bax to try and become a coach for the organization as I wanted to give back to my community and I thought what better way to do that than to teach kids the game I love. It turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and I am so happy to be able to share my knowledge and passion for the sport. When I am not Coaching, I am either playing Lacrosse in a local men's league or spending time with my Wife Cayleigh and my Daughter Luna.
I grew up playing lacrosse in the '90's in CT and I have been hooked on the sport ever since. I played HS lacrosse for St. Joe's High School in Trumbull and attended camps at Brown University and Maryland every summer. I went on to play collegiate lax at St. Bonaventure from '96-98 at the club level before they had a D1 program. I graduated from Bonaventure with an academic excellence award in Visual Arts, a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts and a minor in Marketing. I still play whenever and wherever I can. I was fortunate to play in two Lacrosse All Star North American Invitational semi pro box tournaments in 2018 and 2019 and I also play with the Buffalo Bandits fan team the Brigade and I love getting on the field for Shoot Out for Soldiers when I can. I currently work for an insurance company as a lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer. When I am not on a field or playing box, I enjoy playing the guitar, snowboarding, and building things in my backyard with my son like ziplines and tree forts. Oh and did I mention I love stringing? You can reach me on instagram @lockportstringdoctor for all your stringing needs.
I have been playing lacrosse for over 15 years. I started in summer clinics and moved my way up to playing on Lockport's JV and varsity teams. From there I played D3 college at SUNY Potsdam. After college I began coaching, I started out as an assistant coach for the varsity boys lacrosse team and now for the past three years have been the JV girls lacrosse head coach. I love the game and still play in the summer at ULAX.
